The car was used by me around Kent for the remainder of that year until I returned home to Australia. It was stored in an environmentally controlled specialist garage close to my mechanic from that time until I returned to the UK in mid 2019 and took the car on a European holiday covering around 3500 miles without incident.
The car reached the 25 year old mark in April 2020 which allowed import into Australia and arrived later that year. Since then, it has been at my home in country NSW and used around twice monthly. Ralph at RPM looks after the car and can speak with anyone who may wish to enquire. It is a lovely car that drives as it should on new Pirelli’s. It has an unmarked interior which reflects the low milage. At the time of purchase, I had new springs and shocks fitted incorporating the Porsche Classic update to reduce unsprung weight.
The prejudice against imported cars is unwarranted and this car has covered around 5000 miles since 2006 having been held in private UK collections and used sparingly. I am selling the car due to my increasing age and increasing difficulty getting in and out of the car. It is a beautiful car and will be missed. Reaches 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds!.
